Short answer: Polish offices work in Polish, so a Malaysian document needs an official translation into Polish (tłumaczenie poświadczone). It is made by a Polish sworn translator (tłumacz przysięgły), or checked and certified by a Polish consul, whose certification has "taką samą moc prawną" (the same legal force) as a sworn translator's. The Embassy of Poland in Kuala Lumpur checks and certifies translations from Malay or English into Polish, so a translation made in Malaysia is accepted once the consul certifies it.
What we do: certified translations of Malaysian documents into Polish, from Malay or English, taken with the original through Wisma Putra and the Embassy of Poland, where the consul checks and certifies the translation. Send your document on WhatsApp for a quote.

Who may translate
A Polish sworn translator. Polish offices accept translations by a sworn translator on the list kept by the Minister of Justice, under the Act of 25 November 2004 on the profession of sworn translator. The translation carries the translator's seal and certification.
A Polish consul. Under Article 31 of the Consular Law, a consul makes and certifies translations between Polish and the official or commonly used language of the host country, and also checks and certifies translations "sporządzone przez tłumacza lub inne osoby" (made by a translator or other persons). These acts have the same legal force as a sworn translator's in Poland.
A sworn translator from another EU or EEA state is also accepted for civil-status records.
Translations made in Malaysia
The translation does not have to come from a sworn translator in Poland. The Embassy of Poland in Kuala Lumpur checks a translation made in Malaysia against the original and certifies it: RM 287 per started page, or RM 144 per page for civil-status and other standard documents, paid in cash in ringgit. Once certified, it stands in Poland like a sworn translator's work. Our Polish translations are prepared for this check, and we take them to the embassy with your legalised original.
Documents in Malay
We translate Malay documents, such as JPN birth and marriage certificates, directly into Polish, so no English step is needed in between. Many Malaysian degrees and transcripts are already in English and are translated into Polish from English.
Which offices need what
Voivodeship offices (residence permits): documents in a foreign language are filed "wraz z ich tłumaczeniem na język polski" (with their translation into Polish) by a sworn translator on the Ministry of Justice list. A translation certified by the Polish consul has the same legal force.
Civil registry offices (marriage, registering a Malaysian birth or marriage): a translation by a Polish sworn translator, a sworn translator from an EU or EEA state, or a consul. Applications can be lodged with the Polish consul in Kuala Lumpur.
Universities: the degree must carry the Polish consul's legalisation. Ask the admissions office whether it also needs a Polish translation or accepts English.
We are compliant with these requirements. If an authority rejects a certified translation we prepared within 30 days of delivery, we re-do it free; see our guarantees. Your documents stay confidential under our client NDA.
Common questions
Can a translation made in Malaysia be used in Poland?
Yes, once the Polish consul in Kuala Lumpur has checked and certified it. The certification has the same legal force as a Polish sworn translator's.
Do I need a sworn translator in Poland?
No. A translation checked and certified by the Polish consul stands in Poland like a sworn translation, so the whole job can be done in Malaysia.
What does the consul charge to certify a translation?
RM 287 per started page, or RM 144 per page for civil-status and other standard documents, in cash in ringgit. For our own service, send your document on WhatsApp; see also discount options.
Do you translate from Malay directly into Polish?
Yes. Malay documents are translated straight into Polish; English documents, such as most degrees, are translated from English.
What if a Polish office rejects the translation?
If an authority rejects a certified translation we prepared within 30 days of delivery, we re-do it free.
