11. Authorisation letter allowing MYLegalTrans to handle the legalisation of documents for the relevant company (to be provided upon project confirmation).
Xiaohongshu (小红书 / RedNote) blue-tick verification
For Xiaohongshu (小红书, also called RedNote) verification of your company account, such as the blue tick, we provide XHS-compliant Certified Translation: a High Court certified Chinese translation of your company documents (e.g. SSM documents). For XHS, only softcopy is required. Send us the softcopy of your documents for a quotation.
What gets refused: documents issued outside Malaysia
A degree or certificate issued outside Malaysia (for example a UK degree): it cannot be legalised in Malaysia. We have seen Wisma Putra accept a UK certificate and the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia then reject it. Apostille it in the issuing country, then submit it with your Malaysian documents.
Common questions
Can you attest my UK / foreign degree for the Chinese Embassy?
No. A document issued outside Malaysia cannot be legalised in Malaysia for China. We have seen Wisma Putra accept a UK certificate and the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia then reject it. Apostille the document in the country that issued it (for a UK degree, through the UK apostille service of the FCDO Legalisation Office), bring it back to Malaysia and submit it together with your Malaysian documents. China has accepted apostilles since 7 November 2023; Malaysia is not a party to the Apostille Convention, so your Malaysian documents still go through Wisma Putra and the Chinese Embassy.
Can MYLegalTrans submit my China visa application for me?
No. We prepare, translate and legalise your company documents; each director or employee who travels makes the visa application themselves. The Chinese Embassy prefers applicants to apply without a representative, so MYLegalTrans does not submit or handle China visa applications. 外国签发的文件：在马来西亚以外签发的文件（例如英国学位证书）无法在马来西亚办理认证。我们曾遇到马来西亚外交部（Wisma Putra）认证了英国证书，但中国驻马来西亚大使馆随后拒收的情况。请在签发国办理海牙认证（英国学位：通过英国外交部的海牙认证服务），再带回马来西亚，与其他马来西亚文件一并提交。中国自2023年11月7日起已加入海牙认证公约。
中国文件在马来西亚使用
中国签发的出生医学证明、结婚证、学历证书等文件，如需提交给马来西亚国民登记局（JPN）或移民局，通常须先在中国办理公证，并经中国外交部或地方外事办公室领事认证，再由马来西亚驻华使领馆认证，然后附上马来文或英文的认证翻译。马来西亚不是海牙认证（Apostille）公约成员国，仅有附加证明书（Apostille）并不足够。
